Samhain (sow-een) is an ancient Pagan Gaelic festival. Celebrated across the globe as Halloween! It is the first of the high holy-days as a celebration of death and the beginning of the New Year in the Pagan Calendar on 1st November.

A key point about this time is that the ‘veil is thin.’

Samhain marks the start of the darker half of the year and with darker nights there is a potential for more magic and mystery. This is a time to be believed that the veil between our world and the after-life is at its thinnest but also a time to begin to go inward, connect to our own darkness, connect to our dreams and the realms above and below. It is a time for release, renewal and rebirth.
